Welcome! We're John and Rose Strand and we provide property watching and solar monitoring services within the
Sangre de Cristo Ranches of Fort Garland, Colorado.
The Sangre de Cristo Ranches are a beautiful place to live. We've been here since 2007 and we love it! However, one problem we recognized early on is that the Ranches are huge, sparsely populated, and inadequately patrolled by the Costilla County Sheriff's Department. All elements that create an environment ripe for unauthorized tree cutting, vandalism or break ins. Every season owners come back to find their property vandalized or their cabin ransacked and robbed.
That's why we created Ranch Watch. We check your property on a regular basis to help prevent crime. If vandalism or a break in does occur, we contact you and call the sheriff immediately. That way, the crime is investigated quicker and the extent of the damage and loss to you assessed sooner.

Photos of your land: If you haven’t seen your land in a long time, or have recently purchased land in the Ranches and would like photos, we can email them to you.
Sign posting: We can post "No Trespassing" signs on your lot to warn off potential trespassers.
Lot markers: We'll find the survey pins for your lot and place lot markers.
Solar Watch: Please refer to Solar Watch Services tab.
We've successfully watched properties since 2008. We're happy to provide references upon request.

- Check your property for tree cutting, vandalism, break-in and other damage
- Once a month, twice a month, or weekly
- Leave tire tracks and footprints
- Email you photos and an update from each visit
- Contact you ASAP about any problems we find
- Contact the sheriff ASAP about any vandalism or break in
